The Australian White has been developed in Australia for Australian conditions. The breed was developed in Oberon over the last decade.
The breed type was achieved using four existing breeds of sheep in an extensive breeding and selection program.
Through the use of Embryo Transfer and Artificial Insemination the Australian White quickly developed a breed type that meets all its breed objectives. The result is a shedding-haired type breed made to suit both Australian processors and Australian Lamb producers.
