Robert and Toni Gilmore founded The Ardess Australian White Stud in 2011 after watching the breed develop next door on Robert's cousin's property Tattykeel.
After watching the development of The Australian White Robert and Toni could see huge potential for this exciting new breed and had to be involved.
Since establishing Ardess Australian Whites we haven't looked back. The sheep go from strength to strength every year and the strong future of The Australian White becomes more and more evident.
Robert and Toni are passionate about producing large numbers of top quality Australian White seed stock and bringing the breed forward to new heights as each generation goes by. The key to this is through doing numerous Embryo Transfer programs in order to increase numbers of the best of our stock and subjecting them to a meticulous selection program focusing on breed type and performance. This has resulted in large numbers of stud and flock animals that we consider are some of the best available within the breed. We will have substantial numbers of Australian Whites sheep available for supply into both domestic and export markets during 2016.
During 2015 Ardess Australian Whites has taken great pleasure in supplying the stock to establish a number of new Australian white studs and look forward to any opportunities to help anyone that is looking to get started during the coming years.
